Ötztal Glacier Road
The Ötztal Glacier Road begins right in Sölden – one of the highest roads in the Eastern Alps. Breathtaking serpentines meander through the mighty mountain panorama. Cycling fans can look forward to the "highest point in the Alps that can be reached by racing bike" (2800 metres). High up in the Tyrolean mountains, ibexes, marmots, chamois and other mountain animals cavort. Don't forget your binoculars!
And when it rains?
The Ötztal is known for a particularly pleasant climate with many hours of sunshine. Should it rain, attractions such as the AQUA DOME will tempt you – a modern thermal bath with a sauna world in the middle of the mountains. Or how about a trip to the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck? The small Alpine metropolis lures with numerous sights in front of a grandiose natural backdrop. One of the highlights: the ski jump at Bergisel!
